The world of Rap/Hip hop is made up of foundations represented by stylistically regional generes---East, West, Midwest & South.Every few years however, a group emerges to interrupt the state of conventional rap/hip hop & this is where MegaHood comes in. MegaHood is a New Haven, CT based hip hop duo formed by brothers Ronald Rahmel(Hood) Mccrea and Jahmal Marquise(Mega) Mccrea in 2000.Every since they were young kids growing up they had passion for music and performing, which was influenced by their father who was a DJ. Being introduced to all genres of music due to their father being a DJ is what influenced their style of music mixed with hip hop to rock and r&b. MegaHood bring originality, great showmanship and chemistry together which resonates through their music and live stage shows. MegaHood have performed throughout the major cities of Connecticut like New Haven, Bridgeport, Waterbury, Hartford just to name a few opening up for major artists Jadakiss and Camron. Just this past fall they put together independent tour known as "Making Moves Tour" stopping throughout major cities in CT as well as out of state cities such as Atlantic City, NJ and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. MegaHood have dropped 2 mix cds "Tango&Cash"2011 and "Latenites/EarlyMornings"2012.
